Before adding this, review Verification: First Responder plans to confirm eligibility, requirements, and verification details. Retail: Customers should confirm and submit their eligibility before they leave the store. If they cannot complete in store, they must submit and complete within 45 days. Otherwise, they will be moved to a standard plan.

  • Available to verified members of the First Responder organizations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. 
  • Available to postpaid Individual and Special accounts only.
  • The first responder must be the Billing Responsible Party (BRP) to verify.

Before adding this plan, understand that the customer must ALSO purchase a new device on EIP to get the Yearly Upgrade benefit. Follow the Yearly Upgrade process to ensure the customer receives the Yearly Upgrade benefit. To add the plan to an account, add a Plan SOC + add an AAL SOC (for lines 3-6 and 8-12) + add a Data SOC (to all lines). Plan opened April 23, 2025.

Resources

  • These plans are only eligible to verified members of an eligible first responder organization.
    • A Change of Responsibility on the account or document submission may be necessary to qualify for this plan.
    • First responder credentials may only be associated to one T-Mobile account. If customers have multiple accounts, they'll need to choose which account you would like to qualify.
    • After adding this plan, customers may be notified via SMS that additional documentation is required to complete verification.
    • If verification isn't completed within 45 days, the plan will be changed automatically to standard plan with no first responder discount.
    • Customer will be asked to reverify yearly to ensure they still qualify for the plan.
  • If the customer has any retired features or previous plan benefits (such as Music Freedom, Binge On, or Data Stash), those are not included with this plan.
  • Customers can upgrade Netflix for an additional cost. 
  • Changing to a data feature with additional hotspot will reset the hotspot bucket.

  • Customers on this plan will be eligible to have us pay off the remainder of their EIP when they trade in their phone after being on the EIP for 6+ months and paying off at least 50% of their phone. Yearly Upgrade stacks with our Same as New device offers.   
  • If the customer has existing promotional lines or service credits, check the specific promotion to ensure this plan is eligible.
