For a limited time, new and existing customers activating a Home Internet, Small Business Internet, or Business Internet Service on a qualifying plan are eligible to Test Drive T-Mobile services for 15 days worry free! Customer will need to call Care to cancel their home internet, Small Business Internet, or Business Internet service within 15 days of shipping notification.

  • If a customer canceled a mobile internet (MI) line within the past 90 days (excluding CORs and No Installs), the line must be resumed before they can add a brand-new MI line to qualify.

     To receive this offer, you'll need to:

    • Activate a new Home Internet, Small Business Internet, or Business Internet line.
    • Confirm the customer is within 15 days of Home Internet, Small Business Internet, Business Internet shipping notification. Process all cancels as Same-Day cancellation. Will require Coach and above to perform same-day cancellation. Select the cancellation reason code that best represents decision to cancel within Test Drive.
    • Must return T-Mobile High-Speed Internet Gateway within 45 days. If not returned The total cost of gateway will be charged. Nokia Gateway $370, Arcadyan Gateway $225
    • Help customers place their new Home Internet, Small Business Internet, or Business Internet line activation and ensure they are on a qualified rate plan.

Offer Fulfillment: Home Internet, Small Business Internet, and Business Internet Support Teams

Any customer who activates Home Internet, Small Business Internet, or Business Internet within the promotional window and schedules cancellation of Home Internet service within 15 days of shipping notification will be provided with a Test Drive, even if they were not told about this offer at time of activation. Activations on or after April 25, 2022 will automatically be credited within 1-2 bill cycles. 

Important: Please advise customers to make their monthly bill payments until credit is applied. Credit will apply within 1-2 bill cycles of cancellation.

  1. Acknowledge their request/confirm you are here to help.
  2. Ask Probing Questions to understand the root of why the customer wishes to cancel their service.
  3. Make a strong attempt to save the customer by attempting to resolve their root issue. 
  4. If unable to save, follow Cancel T-Mobile Home Internet as usual. (TFB cancelation process business as usual)
    • Confirm the customer is within 15 days of shipping notification.
    • Process Same-Day cancellation to generate return label upon cancellation.
  5. Provide the customer with details on returning their gateway. See Return Label Support.

Brand New Customers who activated service with Home Internet, Small Business, or Business Internet ONLY

Customer will receive final billing invoice mailed/emailed to address on file.

  • Automatic script cleanup will run 1 to 2 times per week to verify cancellation status/date for credit.
  • After 30 days pass from final bill calculation date the customer will automatically receive a Prepaid card in the amount of the final account credit balance.

Customer will receive final billing invoice mailed/emailed to address on file.

  • Customer will need to make payment for billed invoice. Important: Customer needs to be directed to make full balance payment to avoid late fees or restore fees.
  • Automatic script cleanup will run 1 to 2 times per week to verify cancellation status/date for credit.
  • After 30 days pass from final bill calculation date the customer will automatically receive a Prepaid card in the amount of the final account credit balance.

Existing Base Customer who added Home Internet, Small Business, or Business Internet as a new line.

  • Customer's Autopay will withdraw on standard bill due date, or customer will need to manually make payment on bill due date.
  • Automatic script cleanup will run 1 to 2 times per week  to verify cancellation status/date.
    • If auto-credit via script HAS applied, AutoPay would only withdrawal remaining balance. ​​
    • If auto-credit via script has NOT yet applied, AutoPay would withdrawal the full balance, and once the script runs, the customer will have a credit balance for the Internet Service towards next bill

  • This offer only offers Home Internet Test Drive for Home Internet MRC charges and Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fees. Small Business Internet and Business Internet Test Drive only covers SBi and BI MRC, Regulatory Program & Telco Recovery Fees.

  • Effective 11/3/22, Customers must pay a device connection charge when activating Test Drive. Device Connection Charge (DCC) applies to any new lines added and should not be waived. Support Teams run a daily adherence. Any incorrectly applied adjustments may be reversed.
