Customers shouldn't cancel an existing line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated line to take advantage of this promo, even if the cancellation happens after the new line activation.
Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If customers do not need additional lines, explore other promotions or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.
There are two different Costco port-in rebate offers, each designed for a specific customer scenario:
