Payout

Automatic enrollment in monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC activated during the promo period.

  • The free/discounted line bill credit starts within 2 bill cycles from activation.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements. If the customer changes to an eligible Go5G Next plan during or after the promotion window, the enrolled line will be discounted to $10 after AutoPay discount or $15 without AutoPay discount.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.
  •  Customers on Essentials or other taxes and fees excluded plans pay taxes on the free line/discounted line.

Exception: 
Paid lines that qualified customers for the previous promos do not count towards the required paid line counts:

To keep this free or discounted line credit
  • For one year after the promo's announce date (January 9, 2024), customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were active on the account as of that date, plus the newly-activated lines, which includes the free or discounted line. 
    Example: An account with 2 active voice lines on January 9, 2024, must activate 2 new voice lines to enroll. They must then maintain all 4 voice lines for 1 full year after January 9, 2024.
  • After one year, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the two lines added as part of this promotion (the paid line and free new line) that was activated to enroll in this promo to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free or discounted line credits.

Review & take action

  1. Go over the promo details and these advisements with your customer so they understand what to do to get and keep this promo:

     Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    You will lose the free or discounted line credits if you cancel ANY voice lines on the account within one year including the new free or discounted line. After one year, you must keep at least 2 paid voice line along with the new free or discounted voice lines activated under this promo to keep the free/discounted line credits.

    If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free/discounted line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  2. Confirm customer is on or changing to a qualifying rate plan.
  3. Help customers place their new line activation.

  • This promo is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.

FAQs

Customers shouldn't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this promo, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.

The free line credit applies to newly activated lines with logic this way:

  • AAL lines with subscriber-level MRC receive the credit first before lines that are included in a family/pooled plan MRC 
  • Lines with lowest MRC receive the credit
  • If multiple lines have same lowest MRC, lines with earliest activation date/time receive the credit

Customers who have a free/discounted line from a previous promo activated before this current promo was announced can keep that free/discounted line and participate in this new promo if:

  • They have at least 2 paid lines on their account.
  • Their rate plan is eligible for both promos.
