About the Estimator Tool

The Tax & Fee Estimator helps you estimate the customer taxes and fees for some tax exclusive (TE) plans, such as Experience, Better Value, most tablet and watch plans, SyncUp Trackers, and Home Internet. The estimator includes an estimate of all taxes and fees including Regulatory Programs and Telco Recovery Fees in a single, easy to understand total: 

  • Tax and fee estimator matches submission to the corresponding county’s tax rate (5−10% tax variance between cities within the county). 
  • Tax and fee estimator multiplies the county rate by the Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC). 
  • The tax and fee estimator calculates the total estimated monthly taxes and fees, as well as the overall monthly bill cost for the tax-exclusive rate plan and Protection 360. 
  • The estimated cost does not include any discounted line promotions or monthly service discounts, if applicable. 
  • Protection 360 (as applicable, taxes and fees are included) can also be calculated for voice lines and BTS lines.

To give feedback on an estimate you receive, follow these steps: 

  1. Use the Give Feedback button after you generate an estimate to report anything that looks incorrect. 
  2. Include what you believe is incorrect, if it relates to a plan or feature, and if it affects one or many customers. 
  3. Understand that your feedback is reviewed alongside the estimate’s captured details, helping Support teams quickly validate and resolve issues.
