Paramount+ Essential 1 Year On Us 

This option is retired as of March 9, 2023. This info is for reference only.

Who's eligible

Eligible

  • T-Mobile Postpaid consumers, including: 
    • Individual Regular (I/R)
    • Employee (S/Y)
    • Non TMO Employee (S/6)
  • Retired One Year On Us version was a once in a lifetime feature. If removed, it's no longer available to re-add. 
  • One subscription per BAN
  • Channel availability: 
    • Digital, Care and Retail: Paramount+ Essnt. w/12mo On Us available. 
    • Care and Retail: Will have the paid versions. 
    • Digital: Paramount+ Essential (paid version) only available if On Us is not previously used. Paramount+ Premium a la carte paid feature is available. 
    • DASH will not have any of the Paramount+ SOCs available for sale at launch (Virtual Retail and Telesales are out of scope for selling these SOCs at launch).

  • Puerto Rico customers
  • Mobile Internet / IoT only lines
  • Prepaid and Metro by T-Mobile accounts

$7.99 for customers who add Paramount+ Essential after August 14, 2024.

Effective September 20, 2024: The price is moving from $11.99 to $12.99 monthly.

Paramount+ Essential 1 Year On Us

SOC: PRMNTPAY ($0 / $5.99 after one year)

Customers have used their 1 Year On Us benefit and rolled to paid Paramount+ Essential. An SMS will be sent January 16, 2026 notifying them of the price increase from $5.99 to $8.99.

Retired August 14, 2024

Customers were notified on January 16, 2026 that effective February 18, 2026 the monthly fee increased to $8.99.

Important: SOC PRMNTRIAL should not be added to customer accounts. This SOC is not available.

Set expectations

Redemption

  • Only the PAH or Authorized User can redeem and a T-Mobile ID is required to login and redeem. 
  • Customers with an existing Paramount+ subscription must cancel their subscription and wait until end of bill cycle for that subscription before they can take advantage of Paramount+ from T-Mobile. 
  • Customers receive a SMS with a link to redeem Paramount+ which they must complete before using Paramount+ service.
  • Customers must complete redemption and download the Paramount+ app to start using this service. 
    • Customers are charged for Paramount+ after adding the SOC even if they do not redeem the offer. 
    • One Year on Us customers are charged after the One Year On Us period even if they have not redeemed the offer.
  • Customers will be notified on day 113 if they do not complete the redemption process.
    • The featue will be cancelled on day 120 if customers still have not completed the redemption process.  
    • If customers want the feature added back after it has been cancelled, the SOC can be added and the customers can complete the redemption process. 
 

Billing

Billing starts once the SOC takes effect regardless of provisioning or redemption.  

  • Charges and credits are pro-rated when the SOC is added or removed mid-cycle for paid versions.
  • T-Mobile becomes the method of payment for the Paramount+ account after adding this feature. All other non-billing account changes can be made by logging into your Paramount+ account.
  • Customers' bills will say Paramount+ Essential 12 months ON US and include the charge for the subscription.
 

Upgrades

  • Customers who upgrade or downgrade within an hour of a new subscription will have their transactions fail and need to be manually resolved.
    • This may cause a delay for the customer seeing their new subscription in Paramount+ app. 
    • This change could take up to 24 hours. If over 24 hours, submit a ticket to Billing Ops. 
  • Customers who upgrade their subscription lose the retired One Year On Us and need to pay the full MRC for the upgraded subscription.

 

Additional support

Unredeemed trials

  • Each month, customers who did not redeem their trial subscription with Paramount prior to roll-to-pay will have the Paramount+ (PRMNTPAY) Trial SOC removed from their account.
  • Removing this SOC will prevent customers from being charged for a subscription that they are not using.
  • Impacted accounts will have a memo:PRMNTPAY Trial SOC has been manually removed from account via a batch process, due not redeeming the trial with Paramount+ prior to roll to pay. If account holder calls in relation to the feature being removed, please follow the exception policy that is in place to have the trial reset and PRMNTPAY SOC added back to the account.
